Civil Aviation pledges excellent service. Referring to article "More Seats for the waiting" by Waiting Customer in the Borneo Bulletin Opinion page dated April 8, 2009, Civil Aviation Department, Ministry of Communications, would like to thank for the suggestion given in uplifting the Brunei International Airport.
Safety, comfort and public are top priorities of the Civil Aviation Department. Towards that, in the Special Budget allocation by the Ministry of Finance for Financial Year 2008/09, Civil Aviation Department has allocated more than $1.7 million for the repairs on certain areas including public transport. In 2009/10, $2.120 million has been allocated to the Civil Aviation Department with $3.085 in planning under Special Budget for air-condition system repairs at the airport.
About the lack of chairs in the arrival hall, the department has provided that. However, due to the limited arrival area, chairs are limited and are not enough during peak hours.
Because of the limited space, it is not appropriate for chairs to fill up the area in case of safety, comfort and ease of passengers and public movement. The Civil Aviation Department will always give attention and cooperation to enhance and ensure public comfort as a priority. [Civil Aviation Department, Ministry of Communications]
