Last week, HRD Services held a seminar on "Human Capital Development" and there were a few invited speakers from Malaysia representing the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM). They were Mr. Michael Chiam, Director of MEF Academy Sdn Bhd and Ms. T. Rani Nathan, Senior Consultant of MEF Academy Sdn Bhd.
The opening remarks was delivered by Dr. Mohd Amir Sharifuddin who gave an introduction of HRD Services and MIM. He's also HRD Training Consultant. Around 30 companies (govt and private) were invited to attend the seminar. The seminar gave the attendees some tips and insight on how human capital is very important and how consumers' wants and needs shape the economy of one's country.
MIM is one of HRD Services strategic partners in Brunei Darussalam and do expect more similar seminars from HRD Services in the near future.

A few days ago, I dropped by Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin School to catch bits of the sports day. I'm not sure who dominated the track and field but one thing's for sure that it was a scorching morning. Salutes to the rest who had to endure the "baking" morning.
At the same time, I had a few fans of RA approaching me and asked for a photo opportunity and I spent a minute or two talking to one of the students about bloggin' in general. This really shows how much of an impact that bloggin' is and this is the future of information :)
Below are the pictures taken from the SOAS Sports Day.
