The amazing 12th man.
1 May 2009

Every single person/fan made a huge difference at the Hassanal Bolkiah Stadium last weekend. It will be sometime again before we can experience the same vibe when Brunei DPMM FC play their next home game in a few weeks' time.

I've been getting loads of feedbacks on where to scout for the yellow DPMM FC t-shirts that I wore the last time. It's only available in Singapore and those interested do let me know since I'll be flying to Singapore in May to catch one of the matches. But of course, I won't be bring in a huge pile. I hope the customs are not reading this too *lol*

The new culture.
27 April 2009

Last night, I was chit-chatting with Pg Sallehuddin, the captain of DPMM FC, and we discussed about the match last night and the sending off of the captain himself. I have to admit that it was the best performance of DPMM FC I've seen at home. The one goal margin has always given the supporters a tensed feeling inside and last night was no different as DPMM FC won again by a single margin for the 5th time.

It was a perfect 55th birthday gift for Simunic as DPMM FC defeated the Warriors 2-1 which was marred by a scuffle incident towards the end of the game. Thailand superstar had given SAF FC a lifeline with a superb freekick in the 89th minute and they were literally chasing for an equaliser. DPMM FC were already handicapped by Pg Salleh's sending off.

"Well, I have to admit my opponent did a professional foul. I stopped but he kept running towards me and dived as if I'd tackled him aggressively," commented Pg Salleh's on the second bookable offence.

"But I feel sorry for the team but the players played well under pressure. I thank God for the win."

Four football championships will be held from April 26 for the first ever Charity Soccer Carnival 2009 event at the Sungai Liang Recreational Club in Lumut. The event will include water football, beach football, street football and 5 'A' side organised by the LLRC club.

Its main objective is to ensure that both participants and audiences enjoy themselves while assisting to collect money for the Palestinian Humanitarian Fund and the Flood and Landslides Victims Fund.

Apart from that, it also aims to instil the spirit of sportsmanship, especially with LLRC introducing water football in the country.
