Brudirect removes insensitive tabloid. Sometimes you have to draw a line when it comes to publishing controversial stories. Brudirect crossed the line today by posting a sensitive issue that has caused an uproar among the locals. But I do salute Ignatius for taking prompt action in removing down the article and the video link. Though some damage has been done, it's time to move on and let's forget of the past.
Oh yeah, I wonder how the motto of Brudirect came about as Brunei's No.1 News Website ;)

Last Saturday saw the opening of the PBA tournmanet at Batu Bersurat. There are seven teams competing for the championship and the tournmanent will go on until middle of May. Gracing the opening was Virginia H Benavidez, the Philippines Ambassador, who thanked the committee for making the tournament possible.

It's about time we have a basketball tournament which has been missing for sometime. However, there's an age limit of 23 for the basketball players. HSBC will have their teams participating in the 11-team tournament which will kick off this Saturday at Batu Bersurat Basketball Court. This will be a warm-up tournament for HSBC who will participating in the HSBC inter-regional game in July.
Below Chairperson of the HSBC Sports and Social Club, Hjh Normah Ismail, presented a cheque of $2,500 to Adam Chu Fook Kun who accepted it on behalf of the Brunei Basketball Association.

UBD "A" thrashed finalist St. Margaret's School by 70 plus points in the finals of the Men's 2008 UBD Cup (basketball). National player Yap Chun Ping scored a game high 36 points and the game was virtually over by half time (44-8). UBD "A" bettered their scoring in the second half and piled in a total of 104 points to 29 at full time. You can click here for more report.
